It has been a crazy winter and spring. March was May and May has been like March. We started off the fishing season last month and it was just crazy. Schoolies everywhere, an early worm hatch, and then came the colder temps and all the rain. Things seemed to stall out. Water tempuratures dropped and leveled out. This mornings reports were very promising. Over the weekend and into Monday many fish were taken in all bodies of water. From the ponds to the breachways an rivers. Cocahoes both queen and king were bringing in fish in the breachways as well as jig heads with curly tails. Tube and worm especially T-Man's pink were awsome in the  ponds. Fly guys were wading and getting strikes  in Quonny on cinderworm fly patterns. There is squid in the water, but the majority hasn't come past Watch Hill. Montuck is loaded right now, so there is hope left for us to see more squid in the near future. All the reports are favorable so get out there and fish.

Quonny is a weigh station for On the Water, RISSA, RIMS, and The Fisherman's Dream Boat. We are open seven days from 7:30 to 6 week days and 7 on the weekends with extending hours weekly. We have a great supply of all your gear on hand.  Drop off your reels for a clean up and some fresh line.Rod repairs will go out to local John Bertsch with quick turn around times. We also have  local reel repair available.

Porgy Changes
Scup or porgy fishing has been extended until December 31st.

Fishing has finally picked up from shore. We have had a very slow 6 weeks or so, but last Friday with the change in temperature, we had a big change in the surf action. Anglers were cathching from Watch Hill Lighthouse, all the breachways and the local beaches. Monster blues and 20 pound bass were being weighed in. Albies were flying all over the reefs in Watch Hill. Big seabass are being taken off the ledges all over Block. Black fish are becoming more visable too.

With the cooler nights coming back we hope to see even more action from the beaches.
